About

Airlines Behaving Badly was born out of frustration.

We’re a small team of frequent flyers — between us we’ve logged millions of miles across six continents, sat through more delays than we care to count, and experienced the full spectrum of what commercial aviation has to offer, from the sublime to the genuinely appalling.

What we kept finding was that when it came to choosing an airline, the information available to passengers was scattered, inconsistent, and often buried in press releases written by the airlines themselves. Safety data lived in one place, employee reviews in another, on-time statistics somewhere else entirely. Nobody had put it all together in one honest, independent view.

So we did.

Airlines Behaving Badly tracks over 90 carriers worldwide across five categories that actually matter to the people sitting in those seats: how safe the airline is, how it treats its staff, how passengers rate their experience, how reliably it gets you there on time, and whether you’re getting fair value for your money.

We have no commercial relationships with any airline. We don’t accept advertising from carriers, we don’t take press trips, and our scores are never adjusted in exchange for coverage. The airlines ranked at the bottom of our list deserve to be there, and the ones at the top have earned it.

Our data is updated automatically from public sources on a weekly and monthly basis, so what you see reflects the current state of each airline — not a snapshot from three years ago.

We believe passengers deserve honest information. That’s the whole point.
